Every adventure starts at our private lakeside base camp near the Calico Mountains and ends each day somewhere worth bragging about. Bring your own dirt bike, ADV or Jeep, or borrow one of ours. Either way, we've got you covered from the first night to the last mile.
Base Camp Has a Lake. Yes, in the Desert.
Begin your adventure at our private base camp on a recreational lake in the Mojave River basin, just south of the Calico Mountains. It’s an easy 90-minute drive from Ontario International Airport (ONT) or about 2 hours from Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas.
When it’s too hot to ride, the fun keeps going:
- Wakeboarding and water skiing (seasonal)
- Professional pickleball court
- Basketball half-court
- Full lighting for night games under the desert sky

Depending on your route, you’ll overnight at some of our favorite spots in the desert:
The Cottage Inn, Randsburg: Historic charm in a living ghost town, plus cold drinks and bench racing at The Joint.
The Outpost, Big Bear Lake: Mountain air and pine trees after a long day in the dirt. A cool change from the desert floor.
The High Roller compound, Laughlin: Our reward at the end of the Mojave Road, right on the Colorado River at a top resort casino.
Bring Your Rig, or Borrow One of Ours
If you’re coming on an adventure, you probably already own a dirt bike, an ADV, a 4×4, or one of each. No judgment. Here’s how every option works:
Bring your own: Our most common setup. Just make sure your bike is plated for Mojave National Preserve routes.
Ride one of our KTM EXCs: We keep a small fleet of KTM EXC dual sports ready for custom adventures. Add $250 per ride day.
Jeep it: Planning a 4×4 trip without your own rig? Rent a Jeep Wrangler at the airport and you’ll be fully equipped for the Mojave Road.
Rent an ADV: We partner with the MotoQuest team in Long Beach, CA, for ADV motorcycle rentals.
